Thailand Visa & Entry Requirements for International Visitors
Thailand offers several entry options for international visitors depending on their nationality, including Visa Exemption, Visa on Arrival (VoA), and the Thai e-Visa system.
Visa-Free Entry
Citizens of eligible countries and territories may enter Thailand without obtaining a visa in advance for tourism purposes.
Under Thailand's current visa regulations, effective 15 September 2026, eligible passport holders may generally stay in Thailand for up to 30 days under the visa-exemption scheme.
The list of eligible countries is determined by the Royal Thai Government and may change. Delegates are strongly advised to check the requirements applicable to their nationality before making travel arrangements.
Visa on Arrival (VoA)
Thailand also provides a Visa on Arrival (VoA) facility for passport holders from certain eligible countries and territories.
Eligibility, permitted length of stay, required documents, and applicable fees depend on the traveller's nationality and the regulations in force at the time of travel.
Travelers should confirm their eligibility through the official Thai government sources before departure.
Thailand e-Visa
Travelers who require a visa before entering Thailand may be able to apply online through the official Thai e-Visa system.
The type of visa required depends on the traveller's nationality, purpose of travel, and intended length of stay.
For delegates attending the LNF Convention, we recommend checking the appropriate visa category and application requirements well in advance of travel.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
All non-Thai nationals entering Thailand are required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival.
The TDAC must be submitted within three days before arrival in Thailand, including the arrival date.
Travelers will normally be asked to provide information including:
- Passport details
- Flight/travel information and arrival date
- Address/accommodation in Thailand
- Purpose of travel
- Required health declaration information
- Contact/email information
Important: The TDAC is an arrival registration requirement and is not a visa.
Passport & Entry Requirements
International visitors should ensure that they:
- Hold a valid passport that meets Thailand's immigration requirements.
- Have the appropriate visa or qualify for visa-exempt entry.
- Complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival.
- Carry supporting travel documents where required, such as accommodation details and return/onward travel information.
- Comply with all requirements of Thai immigration authorities upon arrival.
